6 Years Together

So it's been 6 crazy years now that Cody and I have been married. We met at Ricks College, dated for 2 months, he left for an internship and while he was away I bought a wedding dress and he bought a ring. So as soon as he got back we were engaged and got married on 6-25-2002 in the Mesa, AZ temple. Since we've been married we've lived in Idaho, Utah, Virginia, California, and now Arizona. My mind is racing through all the times that we've shared and have only had each other to rely on. Times where I never wanted to speak to him and times where I would find myself in tears out of gratitude that he's mine. I never want to take for granted the fact that I get to be with and go to sleep each night with someone who I love so much. I feel like we really are becoming one, and I look forward to many more anniversaries.

Mexican Birthday Weekend

So my poor husband has had a "dead tooth" for about 2 years now and it flares up every once in a while. Well our Dentist, Dr. Hollis said that we've waited long enough and that we needed to get him to an endodontist for a root canal. The idea of spending $1300 wasn't that fun. Sooo, Cody researched out a Dentist across the border. So for his birthday weekend we made a trip out of going down to Mexico for his root canal.
It was such a strangely, fun and bizarre weekend. We stayed at this dive in Nogales, AZ and then in the morning Gage woke us up bright and early so we went to this swampy lake that was nearby. The weather was cooler and we were the only ones there.
Then at about 10:00 am we parked our car at the border and walked across. The Dentist picked us up in his Jetta and took us to his office. It was like we were on a different planet. So while Cody got his teeth drilled, Gage and I walked around where all the vendors were trying to sell us their stuff. Gage ended up falling asleep in my arms and so we went back to the Dentist's Office and hung out the rest of the time. Cody said that he felt that it went great and he has no more pain.
I just want to get a little mushy here. Cody is now 29 and we are approaching out 6 year anniversary and I can honestly say that there is no one else in the world I would rather spend my life and eternity with. Even doing the simplest thing, we have so much fun together. I feel so blessed to have him as my best friend forever, Happy Birthday Sweetie.

Seville Swim

So Megs invited the girlies to a fun morning of Swimming. I love that pool, Gage became a pill as it neared his naptime, but we had a great time. Next time you want to head out there for a swim count us IN!

Lauren's Final Countdown

Tyra, Marie, Lauren, Me, Annie, Tarah, and Steph
Yummy! if anyone wants to hit up Crackers and Co. again call me!!!

So I just LOVE Baby Showers! Always good food, friends, and fun conversations. You girls are always a BLAST to get together with.
It is so great to be in the same stage of life and have friends that you can totally relate with. For example...We went to Tarah's parents house to swim on Friday and her little guy wailed the whole way there (which is really unlike him) but Steph and I were oblivious to it because we know it could be any one of our kids doing the same thing. We are all in Mommy-mode and Baby-making mode and I love it!
