Birthday Weekend and the big MOVE

My mom and Lexi just had a birthday this weekend and for some reason it was just extra fun! We went out to lunch just Mom and the sisters and then to a movie and then the next night we let the men come and all went to a special dinner. I was able to reflect on how much these two women mean to me. Lexi is in an exciting time of life where she is living up the single scene and then will be going back up to school in the fall. Mom is in Grandma mode and treats my kids like GOLD. Gage asks me all day when we can go to Bama's house.
We made the big MOVE this weekend and they both showed up bright and early to help clean and organize. I can only hope that I can help and support them as much as they do me.
Yes, we moved into a new home and I totally love it. It was only about 5 miles from where we lived before, but it so great getting a fresh start.

Rocky Point? ummm,.. yes please

Rocky Point is totally the way to go for beaching it. First off, you can't beat the price (actually mom and dad can't), scenic views, only 41/2 hour drive, totally uncrowded (maybe some people aren't into getting the swine fly, or something, weird), great weather, yum yum tacos, sunsets, excellent service, Ryan and Dad speak the language and the excitement of being in another country.
I am a believer. I already want to start planning on when to go back. My family couldn't have been more fun, I sure love them, dang it, and watching the cousins play together was also a highlight.

Doctor in the Family

I can't believe Ryan is a Doctor. When I look at all his sacrifices and accomplishments I have some serious brother pride.


It was fun to see my parent's beaming, I can only imagine what it would feel like to see one of your kids strive so high.


I'm convinced that none of this could have happened without his wife, Nicole. I think she should have walked up there with him when he got his diploma. She worked equally hard and sacrificed so much to make this happen (raising 3 kids and moving around the country)

So Ryan's family has been in town recently and we've had some fun-filled days getting together for food, games, and swimming. He is graduating from medical school on Friday and I'm dang proud of him. Hope you are all enjoying your summer, we are pretty much sweating our guts out here.
