i participated with some friends in a half marathon over the weekend and it just okay. the course was way boring and i was litarally eating dust, most of it was on canals, uhg. misery loves company, so i was glad to run it with lauren, brooke, melanie, and amber. thanks to tarah and steph for cheering us on.

getting in the spirit of the season we carved up some pumpkins... we did this about a week ago and now they are totally rotting out because of this crazy heat.

we've had her for a whole year

january must be a "hot" month for a bunch of us, it seems that i've noticed a lot of cute birthday blog posts. well here is ours. "pixie" (as my dad calles her) turned numero uno. i would say that my most endearing thing about her is her animated expressions, for not saying much she's got quite the personality. love her.

fall is in the air

we went to the park with briene, braden and cole this morning and the weather was amazing. yay! i knew it would come. so my baby girl turns one in a week - i love watching her walk/toddle around. gage turns 3 in a month and is finally potty-trained, (worst part about motherhood, thus far) it was rough. OH, but we are not 100%, still a work in progress. my goal was before he turned 3. right up to the deadline. i signed up for my 2nd half marathon today, so for anyone who wants to run it with me here's the link. yep, uuuuh, there's my update.

what a summer.
i have enjoyed looking at all your blogs and seeing all the fun vacations and silly stories you tell. as part as my morning routine i check out all the updated blogs and it starts my morning off right. it really is the people in my life that make me the most happy, i need to remind myself of that more often. i find that i can be pretty self-centered, when really... i need to get my priorities straight.

i just put my pics from my camera on the computer and these were my faves.i love the friends cody grew up with. there are so funny to watch when they all get together. i wish they got to get together more often. he does a good job keeping in touch with them.
phoenix children's museum gets 5 stars for fun. 3 stories of kid heaven as tarah would put it. thanks lauren and steph too for the fun :)

I'm crazy about mesquite pool, it is on val vista and riggs, we are always up for going so call us up and we'll meet you there.
Rocky is 15 weeks preggo and joined us one morning. she is going to have a BOY and we're so dang excited. (your legs look a mile long, by the way :)

Gage's obsession with diggers are as strong as ever. cody's dad lived with us for about 3 weeks and got him this. he will disappear for about an hour and i'll find him outside with it (sweat head). i am sooo ready for it to cool off....well this is what we've been up to lately

we had so much fun visiting family up in ID/UT. too much to write...highlights..

having lunch with an amazing childhood friend, jacque and laughing my head off.

staying at a cabin in badger creek.. the hike was unbelievable
going to yellowstone national park (eatin alive from masquitos)
reconnecting with 2 girls i competed with at the UofU
running the provo half marathon with tarah ingram (and some of cody's family) and hitting my goal time. incredible scenery
seeing how sweet all of cody's family treated my lil babes. warmed my heart.
I think that has been my favorite trip up their with Cody to date.


Just got back from BUNCO with my bella vista babes - you girls are crazy, glad to be apart of it. (brooke, thanks for humbling me :)

My sister and I agreed that this age could be our favorite.... Tons of personality without getting frustrated - totally content to play with one toy - can sit up in high chairs and the cart at the grocery store - still loving the 3 naps - just pure sweetness, i know it won't last so i'm enjoying every minute of it.
